At Bespoke Skin Clinic the strength and benefits of each chemical peel facial varies on the type of solution, amount of solution applied, and the amount of time it is left on the skin. Some types of peels may be very mild with shorter-term results and others penetrate much deeper for longer-lasting benefits. Factors that affect the depth of a peel include the preparation of the patient’s skin before the procedure, the acid concentration in the peeling agent, the number of coats that are applied, and the amount of time allowed before the acid is neutralized.
Our Bespoke Brightening Peel treatment is used to create an injury of a specific skin depth with the goal of stimulating new skin growth and improving surface texture and appearance. The exfoliative nature of chemical peels stimulates new epidermal growth and collagen with more evenly distributed melanin.
Chemical Peels and facials are an integral part of anti-ageing skincare maintenance. Our experienced therapists will create an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. After the application, the peel will leave your skin looking smoother, fresher and very radiant. Chemical Peels are perfect for:
There are three basic types of peels:
- Superficial peel: In a superficial chemical peel, a mild acid is used and only penetrates the outer layer of the skin, which leads to a gentle exfoliation. Superficial peels are best used to treat mild skin discolouration and to smooth rougher skin.
- Medium peel: In a medium chemical peel, a stronger acid is administered to penetrate the outer and middle layers of skin. This helps to remove damaged skin cells at a deeper level. A medium peel, like our Vitalize peel, is used to improve age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, freckles and moderate skin discolouration.
- Deep peel: In a deep chemical peel, a stronger acid is administered to deeply penetrate the middle layer of skin to remove damaged skin cells. A deep peel, such as our Rejuvenize peel, removes moderate lines, age spots, freckles and shallow scars.
In a nutshell, the deeper the peel, the better the result.
For some peels, it can take up to 4 days after the patient finishes peeling for the skin to return to its normal PH and to see the final effects. The skin will look luminous and glowing. The patient will feel refreshed with slightly tighter skin. Unwanted pigmentation can be cleared, depending on the amount and type of damage. The texture and quality of the skin will be improved with an overall more youthful appearance.
